In the last week of our Project, we ask you to zoom out for a bit and look at everything you have managed to un-cancel over the past weeks. By embracing the best of what makes us human, you’ve already succeeded in embodying the final theme of the Un-Canceled Project.
We all, as walkers, runners, and exercisers, know the importance of this week’s un-cancelable human quality: Perseverance. Every single one of us has faced moments where we wanted to give up and stop chasing our goals, but we didn’t. We persevered.
We understand that there is institutional racism built into our society and justice system, but we will never know how it feels to experience it first hand. We know THAT we don’t know, but we don’t know WHAT we don’t know. We have collectively decided to take both short-term and long-term actions in an effort to listen, learn, and support the eradication of systemic racism within areas we can control.
We’ve all heard “no man is an island” or “it takes a village” in some form or another, and we have all had the experiences of needing to seek aid from another person we trust. That’s why we want to focus on Community this week.
Run The Edge is pleased to announce that we will prolong The Un-Canceled Project for an additional six weeks! The second phase of the Project lasts from May 10th to June 21st, and will be called “The Un-Canceled Project 2.”
It’s okay to feel fear and apprehension as we do our best to navigate this turbulent era. It’s okay to not be fully optimistic about the future right now. It’s okay to admit that we don’t have all the answers. What we do have is our un-cancelable human quality of the week: courage.
